If you find one you'd like to include in your display name field, just copy and paste the short code into the field in your profile page.
Please note that you can see emoji render on statuses of other Mastodon users that are not on vmst.io, but those emojis are not locally hosted by vmst.io. If we're missing an emoji you just love from another server, that you'd like to use, just ask us to add them.
Bots
If you're interested in starting a Bot account, we encourage you to reach out to a member of our staff ahead of time to make sure that it's an appropriate fit for our site. nce created, it must be clearly designated as a Bot in the account bio and have an identification of who maintains it and how they can be contacted.
Federation
Mastodon is built on open standards, using sustainable technologies (i.e. no blockchain) that have powered the web for decades. ActivityPub is what makes social networks like Mastodon work across different servers, kind of like how email lets you message people regardless of whether they use Gmail or Outlook.
